Dragonfly short story competition finalists 2015

Announcing the finalists for our Story in a teacup short story competition

A huge thank you to all of you who took the time to get inspired, tell your story and enter our competition. It was a tremendous pleasure and privilege to read all about your Green Gauchos, Skinny Dragons, Emerald Mountains, Swirling Mists and Moonlight Jasmines!

The whittling down of the stories to this short-listed selection was an incredibly tough process -- with over one thousand submissions, we were extremely impressed with the diversity and quality of stories in all categories. Whether short-listed or not, we would like to encourage all of you to keep on writing and to remember that every cup of tea is only a step away from a great story!

Our esteemed panel of judges are now working through the shortlists to select the winners. The panel includes Jojo Moyes, the award-winning author of Me Before You, the comedian, writer and actress Helen Lederer, Literary Editor at the Daily Mail, Sandra Parsons and Charlie and Lola creator Lauren Child.

The winners will be announced at the prize-giving event at the Henley Literary Festival at 3.00pm on Sunday 4th October. All short-listed entrants will be contacted by email to confirm their attendance at the prize-giving ceremony.

For all of you attending the Festival, make sure to visit the Dragonfly Tea marquee next to the Henley Town Hall from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October, for a great cup of tea and an exclusive read of the short-listed stories.

Now, without further ado, we would like to congratulate the following short-listed entrants:
